An original screenprint created as a variable edition.
Inspired by a late afternoon winter walk in Oxfordshire, with the setting sun creating fascinating and ever-changing colours in the sky.
To create the variable editions I used a blend of colours for the sky which I intentionally, albeit unpredictably, varied between prints. In other words, the blend of colours that’s created each time you pull the squeegee can’t always be predicted and will inevitably change over time as the different hues merge into each other. By adding more or less to the reds or blues or whites means some look like an early evening sky while others that have a darker sunset feel. I'm showing just 10 of the edition here but there are more available so do ask if you'd like me to send pictures of others.
This is a variable edition of 30, of which these are a selection of the prints in the edition. The image size is 25 x 14cm and there’s a wide white border making the paper size 30x40cm or A3 depending on preference. They all have the edition number and artist’s signature added in pencil underneath the image.
The final two photos show one of the prints in an A3 frame to give an idea of size and dimensions. (The border can of course be trimmed down to a smaller size, and I would normally recommend framing with a mount.)
As this is a relatively large edition for me - and as we’re getting towards the season of goodwill! - I’m currently offering these for a highly discounted price of £35 each which includes P&P.
If you would like to order one, please drop me a note to let me know which of the variations you'd like. You can quote the edition number which is in pencil at the bottom left of each image. If that particular print is no longer available, I will select one as close in colouring as I can.
