This composition is a variation on my Nocturne screenprint of 2021, in a new colour palette. I have been fortunate enough this year to witness some awe-inspiring sights of a red afternoon sun against a dark blue sky and because of this I've been spending quite a lot of studio time experimenting with different colour combinations to try to evoke the richness and magic of those moments. The colours I ended up printing were also both influenced by, and intended to evoke, the Japanese style of this piece. In this new edition, I have also introduced an impression of light against the branches with the hint of white to create some space and detail.
 
This is a small limited edition of 8, printed on 300gsm Fabriano 5 fine art paper. Each is signed and numbered. 
 
A square format with an image size of 18x18cm, paper size of approx 30 x 30cm with a deckled edge.
