ABOUT
Lucy Cooper is a London-based printmaker, photographer and artist who produces limited edition prints, photographic prints, digital prints and screen prints. With a lifelong fascination with water and its constantly changing colours, textures and patterns, her current work focusses on capturing ever-changing movements in a snapshot of time.
Photographs she has taken of her local neighbourhood invariably form the starting point of her prints. She then develops these digitally to create a final, semi-abstract image. They are either output as a giclée print using light-fast inks on archival paper, or produced as a screen print.
As well as drawing inspiration from the River Thames and Docklands area where she lives, Lucy also produces prints of subjects from some her favourite parts of the world, including Oxfordshire, London, Scotland, Tuscany, Andalusia and the Amalfi Coast. She is currently working on a body of work on the theme of Reflections.
